The idea to start a micro brewery in Costa Rica, came from friends with a passion for beer who wanted to bring the classic taste of a beer made with no preservatives such as rice, corn or preservatives.
Made is small amounts satisfy select clients with a keen taste for a good ale.
What is Craft Beer?
Considered "Cerveza Artesenal" in Costa Rica, its the art of creating home made beer with only the essentials: barley, hops, malt & water.
At the moment their two top selling ales are in Tropical Golden Ale called Libertas and an Red Ale called Segua both are found select hotels & restaurants in Costa Rica.
We had the opportunity to visit their brew factory in Cartago and we had an amazing time!
The dream of the team at Craft Beer is clear, create and excellent beer of the highest quality for everyone to enjoy, in the case of Costa Rica, there are few micro breweries in the country, this indeed is treat!
They have the art of making beer nailed! With excellent explanations of the begining of beer to how it came to be in the 21st century, top of the line machinery and love for the work they do make an excellent recipe.

What sets this company apart is the fact that they also make seasonal beers that are sold for limited time, such as beers flavored with coffee, guavas or special edition Indian Pale Ales.
